Etimad has been appointed as the outsourced partner by the Consulate of France in Jeddah to facilitate visa applications to France and Schengen countries.
Starting 01 April 2016, Saudi special passports holders are exempted from visa to enter France
if the stay is less than 90 days. Therefore, the French embassy will no longer issue Schengen short stay visa on such passports.
In case you need a Schengen visa to visit another Schengen country, you are requested to submit your application to the concerned embassy.
A Schengen visa is still mandatory for Ordinary Saudi passport holders to enter France
Procedure to follow:
Schengen (Short term) Visas - Tourist, Business, Medical Treatment and Transit Category A
Applications with all the necessary documents will be accepted from 0900 hours to 1600 hours Sunday to Thursday.
The processing time for assessment of a Schengen Visa is
5 to 7 days for SAUDIS and 10 to 14 days for foreigners.
Please Note: The processing time is an indication only. Applicants can always be requested by the respective Embassy to appear for an interview. The Embassy reserves the right to ask for further documentation.
Book an appointment to submit your visa application (Mandatory): Effective 2nd Mar 2016, to avoid the waiting time due to high volume of persons applying at the same time, it is mandatory to book an appointment before visiting the Visa Application Centre. To schedule an appointment at VFS a Service charge will have to be paid online via the secure payment gateway on this website before the appointment can be confirmed –please read carefully the disclaimer before you process the payment.

New regulations to cross Schengen borders
Starting July 2013, new regulations apply concerning travel document's requirements.
- In order to apply for a Schengen visa, the overall validity of your passport should not exceed 10 years (including validity extensions).
- Your passport/travel document holding a Schengen visa, has to be valid at least 3 months beyond the intended duration of your journey in the Schengen Area. For instance, a holder of a Schengen visa valid for a period of 6 months ending December 31th 2013, will be allowed to enter the Schengen countries only if his passport is valid until March 31th 2014 at least.
