Etimad has been appointed as the outsourced partner by the Consulate of France in Jeddah to facilitate visa applications to France and Schengen countries. Visa applicants are supposed to submit their completed visa application form, supporting documents and biometric data to Etimad center.
There are two different categories of visas:
- Short stay visa for a stay less than 90 days (Schengen Visa) : file submission mandatorily with appointment at Etimad Center
- Long stay Visa for a stay over 90 days (National Visa for Establishment in France) : file submission with appointment at Etimad center
Choose the kind of visa application you wish to submit for, and gather all the required documents prior to visiting the Visa Application Center, in order to avoid any delay in the application process.
Applications with all the necessary documents will be accepted from 0900 hours to 1600 hours Sunday to Thursday.
The processing time for assessment of a Schengen short stay visa is 5 to 7 days for Saudis and 10 to 14 days for other nationalities.
The processing time for assessment of a long stay visa to France can be up to 14 days for any nationality.
Applicants can always be requested by the Consulate to come in person to the Consulate for an interview after submission of their applications at the VFS Application Center (locally represented by Etimad). The Consulate has the right to ask for any additional supporting documents.
In order to avoid the waiting time due to high volume of persons applying at the same time, it is mandatory to book an appointment before visiting the Visa Application Centre. To schedule an appointment at VFS a Service charge will have to be paid online via the secure payment gateway on this website before the appointment can be confirmed –please read carefully the disclaimer before you process the payment.
Saudi special and diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa to enter France
if the stay is less than 90 days. Therefore, the French embassy will no longer issue Schengen short stay visa on such passports.
