Welcome to the Austria Visa Application Centre in Saudi Arabia.

VFS Global LLC (Al Etimad's Service Partner) has been appointed as the outsourced partner by the Embassy of Austria, Saudi Arabia to facilitate visa applications to Austria and Schengen countries. Currently we have Visa Application Centers for Austria in two locations in Saudi Arabia, Al Khobar and Jeddah.

This site is designed, to ease the visa application process for nationals and expatriates residing in Saudi Arabia.

The Application Process

Schengen Information:

Schengen visa has to be obtained from the Embassy/Consulate of the country where the MAIN PURPOSE OF TRAVEL lies. Therefore, please check your travel plans before making your application to the Embassy of Austria. In case of travel to multiple Schengen countries, please make your application to the Embassy where you will be staying for the maximum number of days, or from the Point of First Entry into the Schengen Countries, if the duration of stay is the same in more than one Schengen Country.

New regulations to cross Schengen borders

Starting July 2013, new regulations apply concerning travel document's requirements.

  1. In order to apply for a Schengen visa, the overall validity of your passport should not exceed 10 years (including validity extensions).
  2. Your passport/travel document holding a Schengen visa, has to be valid at least 3 months beyond the intended duration of your journey in the Schengen Area. For instance, a holder of a Schengen visa valid for a period of 6 months ending December 31th 2013, will be allowed to enter the Schengen countries only if his passport is valid until March 31th 2014 at least.
